We have Dallas Cowboys Training camp going on, what is the bigger story, Jerry Jones and the nip and tuck? or Tony Banks looking just like rapper/actor Ice Cube?

Danny Manning to the Mavericks? I like it. Here is a guy who led his college team (Kansas) to the NCAA Championship, got the dreaded cover of SI and blew out his knee in his first (or second) season in the NBA. Since, he has been a work horse, for every team he has played for (Suns, Jazz) he is a good all court player, and has never been a locker room cancer. I think he will fit in nice with the Mavs. One interesting note, it appears he told Utah NO once he learned the Mavs were interested in him. Utah is a playoff team year after year and the Mavs are just getting to that point. Has the way Mark Cuban treats players made the players in the NBA give Dallas a hard look?

Now I have to give some space to the red shoed Rangers! WILD CARD is not out of the question. August is a long month and anything can happen! Do I need to remind anyone that a wild card team won the Super Bowl this year?
